A Terrible Binding

A TERRIBLE BINDING

First introduced in the story "The Gift of the Boneflower," the pale stranger, Levi, finds himself in the Alleghenies at a house perched at the edge of a vast and looming forest, where the door is answered by a young boy. Alone except for his mind-addled father, Matthew's sleep has been disturbed by an unnameable dread of the forest that fills his nights like a fog. Levi has been sent to help and together, they search for the root of the disturbance. But when they find their quarry, will they also find themselves gravely overmatched?

The next to follow will be a hitherto unpublished story, “The Blackest Rite,” which is a re-imagining of the circumstances surrounding the apprehension of one of the most reviled and contentious serial murderers in history, the French nobleman, Gilles de Rais. I will post an update when this Short Tale becomes available for download.
